‘Tattoo’ to represent Iran at 2020 Oscars

Iranian short film ‘Tattoo’ is to compete at the 2020 Oscars.

Iranian short film ‘Tattoo’ has been introduced to the Academy of Motion Pictures to represent the country at the 2020 Oscars.

Directed by Farhad Delaram and produced by Dena Rassam, the film gets the Oscar entry as a result of a recent win at the 17th Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.

Iranian short film succeeded to take home the Best Short Film award at the Albanian festival which is among the Oscar qualifying events.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, “To extend her driver’s license, she faces some problems due to having tattoos.’’

‘Tattoo’ has so far attended a number of international film events and won some awards, including a Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival in Germany.

The Oscars is an annual US awards ceremony to honor cinematic achievements in the film industry.

The 92nd Oscars will be held in 2020 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, the US.
